How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Technical Operations (TechOps) Supply Chain Management team is seeking an experienced professional to join as a Senior Sourcing Manager, responsible for the strategic sourcing and supplier performance management of key Delta TechOps suppliers.The Senior Sourcing Manager on the Materials SCM team builds and maintains relationships with cross-divisional business leaders, aligns on short- and long-term business unit strategies, collaboratively develops sourcing strategies, leads sourcing projects and contract negotiations, and prioritizes initiatives to meet the dynamic operational and commercial demands of maintaining and modifying Deltas fleet of aircraft. Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):Responsible for building and sustaining relationships with cross-divisional business leaders, aligning on short- and long-term business unit strategiesDevelops, deploys, and supports commodity sourcing strategies to support the aligned business objectives (Commodity is defined as all tangible and intangible elements of any product, service, relationship, or other category which Delta utilizes in its business)Leads and is primarily responsible for executing sourcing activities including RFP development, issuance, and analysis; contract terms negotiation; risk assessment; supplier selection; and implementation supportBuilds and maintains relationships with strategic suppliers and Delta partners (subsidiaries, JV partners and affiliates)Drives sourcing synergies with Delta partners (i.e. joint sourcing ventures) Manages supplier performance and innovationLeads periodic business reviews with key suppliers and provides ad-hoc business updates for executive engagement for visibility, strategic alignment, or approvals
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum 5 years Supply Chain Management or related maintenance/operational field experience required Effective written and verbal communication skills with peers up through executive leadership and a high degree of proficiency in MS Word and PowerPointMust be proficient in financial analysis, including variance reporting and bid evaluation and use of MS ExcelDemonstrated project management skills and ability to effectively work with all organizational levels requiredProficient in negotiation, contract management, category management, strategic sourcing; presentation skills; communication skills; project management, value-based decision analysis, process design and improvement, and consensus building Must be fully competent in optimizing own capacity; demonstrating openness and self-confidence; managing interactions with others; building value-based relationships; exerting personal influence; driving customer-based business strategies; accepting and building accountability; and using judgement and common sense Demonstrates developing abilities in change management, team building, and resource planning & management Demanding work hours - flexibility required.
