Role IntroductionThe Assistant Manager Revenue Systems and Analytics situs under the Revenue Management Department mainly responsible for supporting the Revenue Management Systems Manager in fully leveraging Cathay’s Revenue Management System to maximise network passenger revenue. The Assistant Manager Revenue Systems and Analytics will be responsible for leading science-driven system analysis, feature evaluation, and optimisation of system usage, ensuring revenue management capabilities evolve in line with business strategy, operational needs, and technology advancements.
You will also be acting as a key bridge between commercial users, system vendors, Information Technology teams, and governance stakeholders to translate revenue strategy into effective, data-driven system outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Management System Optimisation
- Lead science-driven analysis to evaluate current and new revenue management system features, releases, and methodologies, and quantify their potential commercial value
- Drive optimal usage of the Revenue Management systems through continuous refinement, monitoring, and structured enhancement initiatives and support system development, testing, and production deployment in close collaboration with vendors and internal Information Technology teams
Science & Analytics Leadership
- Guide and review analytical work related to forecasting logic, pricing controls, bid price behaviour, and optimisation outputs
- Diagnose complex system or data anomalies and provide structured, evidence-based recommendations to resolve issues
- Act as the business owner of Infare within Revenue Management, accountable for ensuring the platform effectively supports spanet fare monitoring and analytical needs
Artificial-Intelligence Innovations
- Work with users to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities where data-driven insights or autonomous agents can generate commercial values and improve efficiency
- Define concrete Artificial Intelligence use cases and translate them into actionable items with clear objectives, measurable success metrics and data requirements
- Collaborate with internal Information Technology and Digital colleagues and external vendors to turn business problem statements into technical specifications and prepare change management plans and implement changes with end users
User Enablement and Governance
- Support training, capability uplift, and communication to ensure consistent and effective system usage across Revenue Management teams
- Provide consultative advisory support to users, helping translate business questions into system-driven solutions and maintain and enhance system documentation, operating guidelines, and control frameworks to support auditability and governance
People Leadership
- Lead and coach Revenue Management Systems Coordinators (Science), providing technical guidance, quality assurance, and development support
Requirements- Degree holder in Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline
- Minimum 4 years of related work experience
- Strong experience in revenue management systems, pricing, demand forecasting, or optimisation within an airline or networked commercial environment
- Solid analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex system outputs and translate them into business insights
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and cross-functional stakeholders is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning fundamentals, Large Language Models with practical experience with Artificial-Intelligence-enabled platforms (for example, Copilot-style tools or analytics-agent suites) is a strong plus
