Position Summary
Based in Madrid, Spain, the Electrical Systems Installation Engineer (ATA 20/91) plays a critical role within the Engineering Department, focusing on the design, routing, and integration of electrical systems and wiring in aircraft.
You will be responsible for designing and validating electrical harnesses and equipment installations, ensuring compliance with design principles and aviation regulations from architecture and detailed design phases through to manufacturing support. Working closely with Mechanical Leads and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and innovative electromechanical solutions in a global environment.
What you will do
- Design and develop electrical system installations and wiring routing (ATA 20/91) in accordance with engineering standards.
- Create and maintain 3D models and 2D design documentation (installation drawings, assemblies, harness routing).
- Apply design principles, processes, and aerospace regulations throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper system integration at design level.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams (reviews, deviation analysis, concessions).
- Identify risks and propose innovative and efficient design solutions.
- Contribute to design reviews and validation activities.
- Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future projects.
- Work in a dynamic, project-driven environment with evolving requirements.
Who you are
- At least 5 years of experience in Electromechanical Engineering Design, preferably in the aerospace sector.
- Degree or Master’s in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical/electromechanical design and wiring systems (ATA 20/91).
- Familiarity with different aircraft types (e.g., Boeing, Airbus) and related standards.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (preferably Siemens NX, TeamCenter, AutoCAD).
- Experience working in international and multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and adaptability.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented attitude.
- Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory).
